Draymond Green Demonstrates Versatility By Using His Arm This Time

OAKLAND–Golden State players and coaches praised Draymond Green’s Game 4 performance as a demonstration of the versatility the forward brings to the floor.

“He can guard any position one to five, and he can use either his arms or his legs to make contact with another man’s genitals,” coach Steve Kerr told reporters.

Though Green only shot two of nine from the field in Game 4, he had 12 rebounds, four assists, three blocks, and one forearm shot to LeBron James’s crotch. His teammates praised his efforts after the game.

“Dray can do it all,” Warriors guard Klay Thompson told reporters. “Great defense, good shooting, and like he showed out there, even on his back, he can either trip a player like he tried with [OKC center Enes] Kanter, or hit a dude in the balls. I wouldn’t be surprised if he was going for his trademark trip before LeBron stepped over him.”

Thompson shrugged, “Looked like he was going for his classic moving screen and then flopped too. I mean, he’s a threat no matter where he is on the floor.”

The Warriors look to close out the series in Game 5, back in Oakland. It is presumed that Kerr will start Andre Iguodala in place of Green, who will be serving a one-game suspension after acquiring four flagrant fouls during the playoffs.

Last year’s Finals MVP, Iguodala has proven himself a capable defender and scoring threat, but he lacks the multi-limbed, testicle-striking ability that has become Green’s calling card this post-season.

Kerr pointed out other contributions from Green that will be missed.

“I mean, look at the play,” Kerr said. “Dray’s got the presence of mind to walk away meekly until someone steps in between him and LeBron and then he resumes acting tough once LeBron is being held back. Truly dynamic.”
