Derrick Rose Stops Using Left-Hand, Citing Desire to Someday Play the Clarinet

Seemingly impervious to criticism, Bulls guard Derrick Rose announced Thursday he was planning to stop using his left hand for dribbling the basketball. He cited a potential desire to start playing the clarinet at an unspecified time in the future.

“I mean, I don’t play the clarinet now,” Rose said in a press conference. “But, you know, I’ve got kids, and someday I may want to, you know, start a Dixieland jazz band or whatever.”

Rose slipped getting down from the press podium and is expected to be out for 4-6 weeks.

Derrick and the Sugar Shakers begin a Monday night residency at the Kingston Mines, coinciding with the start of the second round of the playoffs.
