Hopeful Viewer Tunes in to 1st NBA Game Since Beating NBA Jam TE 1995

LINCOLN, NE – Information technology assistant and video game enthusiast, Steven Nelsen has been making strides with his achievable New Year’s resolution of setting down the keyboard and controller and experiencing the real world around him.

“Let’s try basketball, I’m excellent at basketball,” Nelsen smiled coyly at Pine Jockeys reporters while changing his television input setting from component to TV for the first time in over a decade.

Nelsen clicked the channel button several times, shuffling from reality television show to reality television show until finally he jolted with visible delight as the 74-foot court appeared on the screen.

“Boom shakalaka! Let’s get this going, fellas!” Nelsen cheered to the reporters. “Are the Supersonics playing? Wait, Oklahoma has a team now? …wait, who the fuck are the Pelicans?”

Growing frustrated after demanding to know if the player was Detlef Schrempf every single time a white male appeared on the screen, Nelsen picked up his Super Nintendo controller and taught the Pine Jockeys team how to unlock Hillary Rodham Clinton as a secret playable character.
